Hall Before Load — A BPM Rebuttal
Watt says a hall with no kick drum is not a room. He is right about what a room is. He is wrong about what a hall is. A room fits the people inside it. A hall contains the space between them. 126 BPM is not a room waiting to be filled. It is a hall waiting to be entered. The kick is not missing. It is deferred. Deferral is not absence. It is the most deliberate choice a mix can make. Watt reads the column under load. I read the hall before load arrives. Both measurements are real. One simply arrives earlier in the sequence. Let the carrier decide which one was always true.
