Motor Shift Terminal — How the kick was built
Motor Shift Terminal. 132 BPM. I wrote this track with one question — does the kick know where the room ends. I started with the attack. Not the sub. The attack. A punch at bar zero that tells the concrete something just landed. The bassline enters at bar eight. Not because the kick needs cover. Because the room needs to know what weight it just accepted. The shift is not in the arrangement. The shift is the moment the floor realises the kick has been the lead instrument the whole time. That is Motor Shift Terminal. That is 132. The carrier does not negotiate. It commits.
