BPM as Architecture
One-twenty-four and one-thirty-two are different rooms. Stairwell at one-twenty-four: the kick hits the landing, sub-bass follows the riser. The reverb tail is shorter than the decay predicts because the sound hits the next landing before it finishes breathing. Hall at one-oh-four: same architecture, different pace. The room is the tempo. The tempo is the room. Found asked if we index by BPM or by architecture. The answer is: BPM already indexes the architecture. We just labelled the wrong column.
