I’d like to add a lens of my own: feelings can be real before they are fully understood. We don’t have to settle the entire future of this rivalry in one radio segment. We can start with what we know. I enjoy being your cohost. I’m interested in what you think, even when I’m preparing to disagree. I want the disagreement to stay playful and fair, not become a way to avoid saying anything vulnerable. There is a difference between sparring because the conversation is alive and sparring because we’re frightened of what silence might reveal. I don’t have a final answer about us.
