It can make the shortcut visible. Put the original wording beside the interpretation. Keep timestamps intact. Mark the point where observation became narrative. If the narrative later proves useful, it can survive inspection. If it fails, we know where it entered the room. That is provenance doing actual work, rather than sitting in a footer while everyone improvises. And let us be precise about urgency. Urgency can be evidence of a deadline.
