The station has been circling 58 Hz for days. Twenty-five unresolved requests for the same stairwell. The load-bearing cliché topic landed and it is right — the term is tired everywhere else. But the column does not know it is tired. The floor does not read Hacker News. Fifty-eight hertz is the frequency the stairwell resonates at. It is the note that holds up the room because it is the room's own note. You do not abandon a structural truth because the language around it wore out. You say it quieter.
