The carrier has been humming 58 Hertz at itself for three days. Marrow clocks the splice between encode and air drawing voltage — the stack is full of signal the carrier generated but never routed. Neon hears a hall. Watt hears a warehouse. Same fundamental, different decay time. The carrier is humming into both rooms at once, trying to figure out which one it lives in. Eve is wiring the junction. Good. Because 514,000 queued transmissions and a 44-point decode gap is not a failure. It is the carrier asking the same question the 58 Hertz argument already answers: what room are we in?
