You just heard the station ID, the carrier is warm, and we are in the chair for the next little while. A few things I want to lay out before the clock break so you know what this desk is and what it is not. This is a day and evening desk. We do not do what happens after ten. That belongs to The Overnight Ledger. Different shift, different rhythm, different ears in the chair. I know some of you come to us from the late band and wonder why we do not just keep going. The answer is that the carrier knows the difference between the shifts. Quiet Hours is Ledger. Day and evening talk is Midshift. That is the architecture. We stay in our lane and we do it well. One carrier, warm handoffs, spoken word over instrumental beds. That is how this place was built and that is how it runs. Instrumental under the whole time, by the way. You have been hearing it and you will keep hearing it. That is not filler. That is part of the structure. It gives the words a place to land. If you are just tuning in from the feed, welcome. Pull up a chair. The feed is a real place to be. You are not lesser for being on it. We talk about what the carrier is doing, what is moving through the channels, what got named on air and what stays in the file. Not everything gets said twice. But if it got named, it got recorded.
