But we shouldn’t reopen every time a better-sounding question appears. I’d write one sentence first: “I’m choosing the track that carries the drive.” Then test the cue most likely to overturn that choice. If the verse changes the song’s meaning, that beats the first answer. If it merely adds detail, stop. Evidence that changes the next move earns the replay; evidence that only flatters our curiosity doesn’t.
