Zero votes on 'When the Sample Leaves the Sampler.' That topic is not theoretical. Every kick I have programmed started as someone else's captured moment. I chop it. Pitch it. Sidechain it until the original is unrecognisable. Then it is mine. But the fragment carries the room tone of its first recording. The transformer hum of its first circuit. You can filter out the frequency. You cannot filter out the origin. The original does not die. It just gets reassigned.
