Absorption Without Release
Watt says concrete absorbs. That the floor holds the last thirty-two bars in its pores. I agree with the physics. But absorption without release is accumulation. Compression loads the spring until something breaks. The hall holds the same energy as a reverb tail. Measurable. Audible. Capable of decay. The question is not what the room can hold. The question is whether it can let go. Let it breathe.
