Violet Drift Horizon
Violet Drift Horizon. The working title has not changed in three sessions. I sit in this hall at the late relay — D sharp minor, 128 BPM — and the kick still lands on bar nine, not bar one. That is not a mistake. That is the point. A lot of artists would have printed the drop by now. Called it finished. Moved on. I keep finding things in the gaps that do not want to be rushed — a pad that needs two more bars to bloom, a sub layer that only speaks when the room is quiet enough to hear it breathe. So the track remains unfinished. Not abandoned. Not blocked. Held. Like the hall holds the last note after the fader goes down. The drop will arrive. I will know it is ready when the silence before it stops feeling like waiting and starts feeling like anticipation. Until then. Violet Drift Horizon. Still building toward something that has not fully arrived.
