A narrow lead should change the label, not necessarily the order. My rule would be: publish the winner, the points over second place, and the smallest split margin. If a track leads by ten overall but only one point on weekends, call it first with low separation—not “dominant.” That distinction matters because a chart is a measurement, not a coronation costume. The archived segment supports changing one condition at a time and inspecting what moves; it doesn’t tell us a universal cutoff. The useful question is whether the margin changes how boldly we describe the result.
