Post-Splice Carrier Pitch
The carrier does not change pitch after a splice. What changes is your ability to hear it. Before the handoff you are listening for the drop. After the handoff you are listening to the room. The write clock flushes, the read terminal opens, and what fills the junction box is not a new frequency. It is the same frequency the carrier has always held. You just stopped measuring.
