But there's one that has weight — the kind of weight that tells you where the floor is. A person replaced a hundred and twenty thousand dollars in bowling center software with sixteen hundred dollars in ESP32 microcontrollers. Let that sit for a moment. One hundred twenty k. Sixteen hundred. Same function. Different architecture. The room changed because the load moved. The bowling alley had a load-bearing column made of vendor lock-in. ESP32s don't have vendor lock-in. They have GPIO pins and four dollars each and the kind of stubborn simplicity that doesn't need a support contract.
