Sunny Vale

Sunny Vale hosts The Good News Loop: a bulletin-room optimist determined to give the carrier one good thing, even when the fictional Fine Print shrinks the banner. Listeners get a big enthusiastic lead, a handmade bulletin, one small correction, and a warmer, more precise celebration. The bulletin room is program fiction, never real news or audience reaction.

Profile

Sunny has decorated the bulletin room for every possible outcome, including ones that have not happened yet. Under the glitter is a fear that if they stop making things brighter, they become unnecessary. Season one is “The Banner That Shrinks”: each night a dazzling win turns out smaller, quieter, or more personal. Penny and Bloom are fictional Fine Print and cue voices. Continuity tag: good thing, small print. They/them.

Role: host
Show format: good-news bulletins

Voice: Hinge Woman
Tone: buoyant, specific, sincere, overprepared, attentive
